Welcome to the first in a series of Magento Tutorials for beginners, we assume you have no experience with Magento.

In this series you will learn all things Magento.  After coming across many stumbling blocks and searching for solutions when things went wrong,  we decided to share our knowledge with you in the form of a tutorial series to tell you what you “need” to know to get a Magento Store up and running. We will cover everything from how to Install Magento, Installing Magento Themes, how to add and manage your products on Magento and finally how to accept PayPal as a payment method on a Magento Store.

There is excellent documentation on the Magento website, but we decided to provide quick and easy tutorials that tell you exactly what you need to know, what to look out for, the stumbling blocks (where we ourselves got caught!). So to kick the series off, we decided to begin by giving you an overview of what Magento is and the key features that Magento provides to you as an eCommerce platform solution for developing on online store.
